You get all 12 questions of the 8 times table, from 1 × 8 to 12 × 8, in a shuffled order. Tap the right answer on the 2 × 2 grid. A wrong tap adds 1.5 seconds to your time.
At the end you see your time and the sum you hesitated over longest. Nothing about you is sent unless you tap Post my time.

Is the 8 times table speed test free?
Yes. You can play every sprint on this website for free, with no account and nothing to install. The TimesHero app has a free plan with tables 1, 2 and 5, and the Lifetime Pass opens the rest.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no login and no account, for these sprints or for the app. Your Hero Tag is made from words you pick, never a real name.
What does the leaderboard show about my child?
Only a Hero Tag (words and a number, such as SwiftTiger#42), a region if you choose one, and the time. Your Hero Tag, region and time are sent only when you tap Post my time. We do not keep a name, an email address or a device with the time.
How many times can I play?
You can start 3 sprints in any hour on this device, and a practice run counts as one. When they are used up, the page says how many minutes to wait. Clearing your browser's data starts the count again.
What does the Lifetime Pass add?
The Lifetime Pass is a one-time purchase that opens every table in the app and lets you host live battles with a friend. Joining a friend's battle and fighting the Shadow Bot are always free.
