The Learning Journey
Start with Learn mode to unlock the practice modes. Each one builds on the last, driving your child from zero to instant recall automaticity, and the Mastery Test proves it.
Learn Mode
Untimed, stress-free fact discovery from 1×1 to 12×12. Visual operand cards guide your child through each fact at their own pace. This is the gateway — complete it to unlock all other modes for a table.
GridSprint
12 sequential questions against a ticking stopwatch. Race for Bronze, Silver, & Gold speed medals!
Mystery Block
Fill in the blank factor or product (? × 8 = 56). Develops flexible algebraic thinking and reverse recall.
Speed Drill
1, 2, or 3-minute automaticity bursts driven by the Leitner algorithm to lock facts into permanent memory.
Mastery Test
A timed test of one table: all 12 facts, every answer correct and within 3 seconds. Passing it moves the table one step up the Ladder, and the fifth pass earns the table its Crown 👑.
The Ladder spaces the tests out (about day 0, 1, 4, 11 and 25), because recall that survives the gaps is recall that lasts. Meanwhile every fact your child masters feeds their companion, up to five evolution stages.

Warm, never guilt-driven. Looking after a companion is a reason to come back, and it never gets in the way of learning.
Hearts and snacks
Each companion has three Hearts. Earn Stars from real practice and spend them on snacks: a Power Snack, a Favourite Snack, or a Super Feast.
Bond that never fades
Pet, play, feed and finish sessions to grow the Bond through five levels. It never decays, and it unlocks new animations and warmer chat, never access to practice.
Your child names it
Give each companion its own name. The name is shared only between your family's own linked devices, and is never shown to other players in Battle Mode.
Fetch Facts
A free daily play: three real questions picked from the facts that are due, so playing with the companion is also a little practice.
A warm welcome back
Come back after a day or more away and the companion greets your child. No progress is lost for being away.
No push notifications

A Parent PIN keeps the grown-up parts grown-up
Settings, adding profiles and the parent dashboard sit behind a four-digit Parent PIN, with a lockout after wrong tries. Your child's own tablet never holds the PIN at all.

Does my child need an account?
No. There are no accounts and no sign-up. A parent chooses a 4-digit PIN, and your child needs only a nickname of up to 8 characters, never a real name. See how setup works.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once TimesHero is installed, your child can play with no internet. You need the internet to link a child's tablet, to play a live battle with a friend, to buy the pass, and about once a month for a Lifetime Pass to be confirmed. See how to install it.
